Let’s map out those pages
Getting Started
A sitemap is a file that shows the structure of a website, including its pages and content and the relationships between them. Search engines use sitemaps to crawl websites more efficiently. Having a sitemap is an important part of SEO.
This means that every page listed on a sitemap has the capability to show up on a search engine’s list of results. If you have smaller low value pages that are deemed unimportant, you can remove them from indexing and make sure search results show only your High value pages, or paths to your high value pages, resulting in more traffic directed where you want.
Breaking it down
Identify High Value Pages

- Pages that have less impact, or importance on the site.
- Audit the content and make sure it falls within the word count.
- If it has too much content, make sure the content is needed. If it is, break it into more pages to fall within Low Value word count.
- If it has too little content, see if it can be combined with any other Low Value pages. If not, generate a bit more content that directs to high value pages.
